Xylorimba Rental in Los Angeles from Cal Perc- LA.
The xylorimba is a cross between a xylophone and a marimba. Typically more xylophone-like in the high register and more marimba-like in the low register.
Used most often by Olivier Messiaen in Colors of the Celestial City, From the Canyon to the Stars, and St. Francis of Assisi. Pierre Boulez wrote for xylorimba in many of his compositions.

The hybrid that Messiaen demanded. Part xylophone, part marimba, entirely its own thing. The low end has that marimba warmth while the high end cracks like a proper xylophone. If your program includes 'Oiseaux Exotiques,' this is the only instrument that makes the part work. Rental Details Category: Xylorimbas Item ID: xylor...
